Adam Jacobsen has been promoted to associate head coach of the University of Hawai’i basketball team, the school announced on Tuesday.
The move essentially means Jacobsen is second in command on the staff, behind head coach Eran Ganot. It would assumingly also come with a pay upgrade, although no financial details were announced.
Jacobsen was an assistant coach for last season’s record-setting UH team that won 28 games, including a victory in the NCAA Tournament. There was no official associate head coach on last year’s staff.
