Chris Gerlufsen will join the University of Hawai’i basketball program as an assistant coach under head coach Eran Ganot, the school announced on Tuesday.
Gerlufsen was an assistant coach at the University of San Diego for the past four seasons, and previously worked as an assistant coach at the University of Hartford and The Citadel. USD won 21 games last season and participated in the NIT.
The position on the UH staff became available last month when associate head coach Adam Jacobsen accepted an assistant coach position at Cal Baptist.
Gerlufsen is originally from Philadelphia, Pa.
