The UH-Hilo women’s soccer team’s defense held tough against Azusa Pacific, which kept taking aim at goalie Jenna Hufford, who had nine saves.
The Vulcans and Cougars tied 0-0 in a PacWest match on Tuesday at Azusa, Calif., after 110 scoreless minutes.
UHH (3-3-1, 0-2-1 PacWest) snapped a three-match skid.
APU (2-3-1, 2-0-1) fired 20 shots, including nine on goal.
The Vuls took eight shots, including three on goal.
UHH gave up only six goals in its six previous matches while the Cougars surrendered six in their last five.
