Cal Poly shoots down Warriors, 78-64

Cal Poly went on a stunning second half surge to defeat the University of Hawai’i basketball team, 78-64, in a Big West Conference game on Saturday at the Mott Athletics Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

The Rainbow Warriors had a seven-point lead at halftime, but the Mustangs out-scored Hawai’i, 50-29, in the second half.

The Warriors dropped their third consecutive game to fall to 13-8 overall and 4-4 in the Big West. Cal Poly, which lost by 12 at Hawai’i last month, improved to 8-15 and 3-6.

Sheriff Drammeh led the Warriors with 17 points.
