Konawaena opened postseason play Tuesday with a dominating three-set victory over Christian Liberty in the quarterfinals of the BIIF Division II volleyball tournament at Ellison Onizuka Gym.
Showing no endurance problems late in the match after playing a best-of-three format during the season, the Wildcats put away the Canefire 25-5, 25-12, 25-6.
“It was a fun match,” said Konawaena head coach Ainsley Keawekane. “I got to play everybody and that was exciting for me. It gives me a chance to see what the kids coming off the bench can do.
