Call it the calm before the storm for Kamehameha.

Jonathan DeMotta, Riley Siemann and Liam Kenoi scored goals Wednesday, and the Warriors ventured down the road in Keaau and shut out Christian Liberty 3-0 in a BIIF Division II boys soccer match.

Making his first start as goalkeeper, Dorian Salazar made three saves to earn the shutout for Kamehameha (3-1-0).

The Canefire fell to 0-3-1.

“We mostly played our second team,” Warriors coach Mario Patino said. “The goals came off combinations.”

He said Kamehameha got in some practices over the holiday break, albeit with a split squad thanks to some players being on vacation.
