Well, the uninvited and unwanted COVID-19 made its way back to the Big West Conference last week. After a one-week respite from COVID-related issues, two more Big West games were canceled last week.
The previous week – January 17-23 – featured the completion of all 11 scheduled games involving Big West Conference teams, ending a streak of eight consecutive weeks with at least one canceled game due to COVID-related issues.
The cancelations returned last week, when Long Beach State announced that it was going on a “pause” for two weeks due to a COVID case within its program.
