Tokunaga named to DII All-Tourney state team
Kamehameha senior Mykala Tokunaga was named to the HHSAA Division II state softball all-tournament team at pitcher.
The right-handed ace threw a two-hitter in a 13-0 five-inning TKO over Aiea in the quarterfinals.
Tokunaga went the distances in a 9-7 loss to Pac5 in the semifinals, and a 5-2 loss to St. Francis for third place.
No other Warriors were selected, though several had strong three-game performances.
Senior catcher Kekai Wong Yuen batted 6 for 10 with an RBI and sophomore second baseman Taylor Sullivan went 5 for 9 with two RBIs, including a homer.
