Basketball legends join UH Circle of Honor

Legendary basketball coach Riley Wallace leads the list of 2016 inductees for the University of Hawai’i Sports Circle of Honor.

Wallace was the head coach of the UH men’s program for 20 seasons (1987-2007) and led his teams to nine postseason appearances, including three NCAA Tournaments.

Former basketball star Anthony “Tony” Davis and the “Voice of the Rainbows” Jim Leahey are the other inductees in the 2016 class.

Davis, who played at UH in the late 1950s, scored 45 points in a game against Cal State Los Angeles in 1959. It is a record that still stands atop the UH record book for most points scored in a game.
