Before the current University of Hawai’i basketball team rings in the new year, the rings commemorating the historic past year can serve as a reminder of what to strive for.
Members of the historic 2015-16 Warriors’ squad recently received their championship rings, and it “tells the story” of the 28-6 season that culminated with the first NCAA Tournament victory in program history.
“It tells the whole story of the success, which is nice … and it tells a little bit of failure with the six losses – just what we learned and stuff like that,” said Mike Thomas, a starting forward last season who is redshirting this season due to a wrist injury.
