Perhaps fitting for a Christmas time event, there is an air of mysterious excitement surrounding the 2018 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic.
This year’s three-day, eight-team tournament is set for December 22, 23 and 25 at the Stan Sheriff Center. Every game will be televised on one of the ESPN network of stations (ESPN2,ESPNU or ESPN3).
None of the eight teams are currently ranked in the Top 25 national polls. Here are the current ratings of the teams, according to the most recent NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET):
41 – TCU
46 – Colorado
95 – Rhode Island
127 – Indiana State
146 – Hawai’i
154 – UNLV
228 – Bucknell
281 – Charlotte
TCU appears to be the top seed, though not necessarily an overwhelming favorite.
