There were encouraging developments on the injury front for the Green Bay Packers as they closed out training camp with their final public practice, but also some potential cause for concern.
On the positive side of the ledger, All-Pro safety Xavier McKinney returned to the practice field for the first time in a couple of weeks. He last practiced on Wednesday, Aug. 6 and has been absent with a calf issue since then. It was thought the injury might cost McKinney the rest of training camp, but one of the leaders of Green Bay’s defense was able to participate in a limited capacity as the team took part in a joint scrimmage with Seattle.
