Wisconsin's pro teams partner on Equity League, focused on social impact, minority founders

GREEN BAY, Wis. - Wisconsin's professional sports teams have formed a partnership to start the Equity League - a new division of the venture capital fund TitletownTech founded three years ago by the Green Bay Packers and Microsoft.

The Packers. along with the Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Bucks. announced Tuesday that the investment network will focus on "building a portfolio of impact-driven technology companies and creating more opportunities for Black and LatinX founders."

They said the Equity League has "a mission of creating a long-term, positive impact on society."

According to the Packers, only 1 percent of venture capture-backed startups founders are Black and less than 2 percent are LatinX.
