Leading up to the 2022 NFL draft, the buzz around the Green Bay Packers was all about replacing Davante Adams, which many expected to translate into spending one of their two first-round picks on a top wide receiver.
Instead, the Packers spent both of those selections on Georgia defenders, the second being defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt with the No. 28 overall pick.
Wyatt is an athletic, explosive defender who is an expert at shooting outside and penetrating laterally through offensive line. He quickly overwhelms blockers with an excellent first step off the snap, shoving and pushing past them before exploding through into the pocket.
