Why a Packers-Romeo Doubs trade makes even less sense now than ever before

Despite fielding one of the best offenses in the NFL last season, the Green Bay Packers had a major issue with drops. Their 33 drops were tied for the third-most in the entire NFL, something that cannot be the case for a playoff team.

In fact, only the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets -- two perennially bad franchises who combined for eight wins in 2024 -- dropped more passes. The Packers made improving their wide receiver room a priority in the offseason as they selected Matthew Golden in the first round -- the first time they drafted a wide receiver on Day 1 since 2002 -- and Savion Williams in the third round.
