What to watch for in NFL debut for Packers QB Jordan Love

Jordan Love’s last collegiate game for Utah State came on Dec. 20, 2019.

Roughly 600 days later, Love will make his NFL debut as the Green Bay Packers starting quarterback during Saturday’s preseason opener.

The Packers made Love their first-round pick in 2020 draft, but a pandemic-challenged season meant a virtual offseason, an abbreviated training camp and no preseason, so Love spent his first season as the inactive third quarterback in all 18 games, including the playoffs.

NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers won’t play Saturday night against the Houston Texans, giving Love the chance to start and play the majority of the contest.
