Wednesday Cheese Curds: Packers’ defense grounded the Jets when they had to

Normally a final score of 44-38 indicates a great performance from the offense and a not-so-good performance from the defense.

In the Green Bay Packers’ Sunday victory by that score, that was not completely the case.

Green Bay’s defense has been decimated by injuries. They’ve been without their top two defensive linemen plus the secondary seems to be dealing with some kind of nagging injury. It’s a wonder Mike Pettine’s crew has played as well as it has.

Separate comebacks from down both 14 and 15 points don’t just happen without some kind of effort by the defense.
