The New York Jets have successfully acquired quarterback Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers, following a drawn-out negotiation process. In exchange, the Jets will give up their No. 13 overall pick in this year’s draft, two later-round picks, and a conditional second-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft. The Packers, on the other hand, will provide Rodgers, the No. 15 pick, and a later-round pick.
Rodgers had expressed his intention to play for the Jets on “The Pat McAfee Show” back in March. While both teams’ leadership acknowledged that a trade was in the works, it took nearly six weeks for them to finalize the deal, coming to an agreement just three days before the NFL draft is set to begin in Kansas City, Missouri.
