As a 2024 sixth-round pick who played snaps as a rookie and was entering his second NFL season, offensive lineman Travis Glover had an excellent opportunity to earn a 53-man roster spot for the Green Bay Packers to start 2025.
After Glover's season-ending shoulder injury, which landed him on injured reserve on Wednesday, the competition for a roster spot behind the top eight offensive linemen in Green Bay is officially on.
"He is an ascending player," coach Matt LaFleur said of Glover on Thursday. "It was very disappointing that we won't have him."
Given the likely starting lineup and current depth chart construction, the following eight players have 53-man roster spots all but locked up: Rasheed Walker, Aaron Banks, Elgton Jenkins, Sean Rhyan, Zach Tom, Jordan Morgan, Jacob Monk and rookie Anthony Belton.
