That became clear when the Green Bay Packers cut the guy they brought in to compete with Masthay who you didn’t even know they brought in to compete with Masthay, Monday. His name was Cody Mandell.
He was not a ginger. And he apparently wasn’t as good of a punter as Masthay is either.
Rare does a team have an open competition for a job and ax one of the guys in that competition before the first preseason game. Unless they were just pretending to have a competition…
It’s quite possible they were just trying to send Masthay a message.
