This evening, week 5 of the NFL schedule gets underway with an NFC South matchup. Last season, the Buccaneers snuck into the postseason at 9-8. They won the division on the season’s final day, beating the Carolina Panthers 9-0 to clinch a spot in the postseason.
Meanwhile, the Atlanta Falcons were on the wrong end of a 48-17 blowout in week 18 that dropped them to 7-10 for the season. Atlanta has since acquired a new quarterback — well, two of them — as well as an entirely new coaching staff and are one game back of the Buccaneers in the division race early on.
