Thumbs up? Packers quarterback Jordan Love practices, takes under-center snaps as recovery from thumb surgery continues

GREEN BAY — Jordan Love was back under center — literally — on Wednesday, a meaningful sign of progress as the Green Bay Packers quarterback works his way back from surgery to repair a torn thumb ligament on his left (non-throwing) hand.

Love, who was limited to 7-on-7 drills during the final two weeks of training camp after suffering the injury on a sack he absorbed on his 12th and final snap of the Aug. 9 preseason opener against the New York Jets, took reps during the individual and group drills open to reporters on Wednesday, but it’s unclear how much work he got during 11-on-11 periods that were held after the media viewing portion of practice ended.
