The Green Bay Packers have primarily built their team through the draft for more than three decades now. Ron Wolf, Ted Thompson, and now Brian Gutekunst have all adhered to that strategy and the result has been three decades of success.
That doesn’t mean the team won’t use other methods to improve the team. Free agency has been used at times to improve the team starting with the surprising signing of Reggie White in the first true free agent class back in 1993. Other important signings in free agency have included future Hall of Famers Charles Woodson and Julius Peppers.
