The Lass Word: Who Needs First Round Receivers?

One of the most pleasant surprises of this Green Bay Packers training camp has been the depth and quality of the receivers. Thought to be a weakness going in because of inexperience, it is now becoming clear the team has a plentiful stable of young talent that is capable of getting the job done at this level.

Saturday night’s preseason game against the Patriots provided further evidence. Romeo Doubs made a spectacular catch in the first quarter on a 42 yard bomb that was slightly underthrown by Jordan Love. Doubs was able to get up on the toes of his right foot, while dragging his left foot inbounds, all the while securing the ball while the defender contested the catch.
