By the time week sixteen of the 2023 NFL season drew to a close, Joe Barry was a mere footnote. The post season firing of the Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator had reached the point of being taken for granted. It was a done deal. The only variable was whether the ax would fall during or after the season. Fans didn’t even talk about it any more. The focus shifted to the marvelous renaissance of the offense. Barry? He was already in the rear view mirror.
And with good reason.
