A Southwest Florida football star is making waves on and off the NFL gridiron. Green Bay Packers linebacker De’Vondre Campbell has been named the team’s nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.
The award acknowledges players who show passion for creating lasting positive impacts off the field in their communities.
Campbell is a Cypress Lake High School alum turned All-Pro linebacker. According to a Packers news release, Campbell has worked extensively for the community off the field through his foundation, the De’Vondre Campbell Family Youth Foundation.
The foundation was founded in 2019 and focuses on empowering at-risk youth and families in need.
