The Green Bay Packers defense has been a disappointment for most of the 2022 season. With seven former first round picks on the roster and returning Pro Bowl or All Pro players along the line, at linebacker and in the secondary, the defense had high expectations entering the new campaign.
Many people expected the Packers to have a top five defense and the team needed a strong performance on that side of the ball because the offense was trying to integrate rookies into the receiving corps and had its two best offensive linemen recovering from serious knee injuries.
