A day after Sean Clifford was cut by the Green Bay Packers in 2024 he returned the next day as a member of the practice squad.
Not this year.
Clifford's time with the Packers is over in Green Bay when the team chose not to re-sign him to the practice squad following his release on Aug. 26.
The former Penn State quarterback took to Instagram on Aug. 27 to say goodbye to the organization, his teammates and fans.
"Grateful for every moment wearing the green and gold, for my teammates who became brothers, and for a community that welcomed me with open arms," Clifford wrote with a black-and-white photo of himself standing for the national anthem before a game.
