The Seattle Seahawks will play their preseason finale versus the Green Bay Packers on Saturday afternoon. Approximately 72 hours later, general manager John Schneider and head coach Mike Macdonald must submit their initial 53-man roster. They'll be cutting approximately 37 players to trim down to 53.
The Seahawks have various decisions to make. Competition for roster spots remains ongoing all throughout the roster, particularly at wide receiver. One of the veterans who's been losing influence is Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
Initially signed to be the WR3 in the offense behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp, Valdes-Scantling has been tumbling down the depth chart.
