Report: Packers To Exercise Former First Round Pick Devonte Wyatt’s 5th Year Option

GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers have decided on the future of one of their recent first-round selections.

According to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz, the organization has agreed to pick up defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt’s fifth-year option, guaranteeing that the former Georgia prospect will earn a $12.9 million salary during the 2026 NFL season.

In addition to having 12 career sacks since the Packers drafted him 28th overall in 2022, Wyatt was placed 29th on Pro Football Focus’ (PFF) list of the top 32 interior defensive linemen before this past season. In addition, Wyatt placed fourth on the team and 20th overall among all interior defenders with 48 quarterback pressures.
