MIAMI, Fla. (WBAY) -NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero is reporting the Miami Dolphins are hiring former Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Joe Barry as part of their defensive coaching staff.
Pelissero says Barry will be serving in the role of linebackers coach/run game coordinator.
Barry was the Packers’ defensive coordinator for three seasons before the team fired him in January. The Packers replaced Barry with former Boston College head coach Jeff Hafley.
Green Bay had a top 10 passing defense under Barry’s scheme but the Packers rushing defense was among the bottom 10 teams for two consecutive years.
