With the Green Bay Packers releasing two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander earlier this week, plenty of NFL teams may have raised an eyebrow, especially those with glaring needs in the secondary.
Naturally, the Los Angeles Rams were among the teams that the football world would expect to be interested in. After all, the Rams have question marks at cornerback with an unproven group despite having reliable veterans in Ahkello Witherspoon, Darious Williams, and Cobie Durant. They have lacked a true No. 1 option since Jalen Ramsey.
Alexander, even after a pair of injury-riddled seasons in 2023 and 2024, is still just 28 years old and boasts the kind of lockdown potential that doesn’t often hit the open market.
