Quiten Rollins has been disappointing the past two seasons. His 2017 year ended when he tore an Achilles tendon in October.
It has been suggested that the injury saps some of a player’s speed permanently. With the Packers’ new-found cornerback depth, it would seem Rollins would just be lucky to make the roster.
If he’s lost speed — and he wasn’t a burner to begin with — he would be better off in a centerfield role where he can just make plays on the ball. Of course, the Packers have depth at the safety position as well.
