Less than two months from turning 47 and more than eight years since his final NFL game, former Arizona Cardinals and St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner says he considered coming out of retirement for the 2018 season.
As a guest in the St. Louis Cardinals broadcast booth during Monday night's game, for which he threw out the first pitch, Warner talked about missing the game and said he "sometimes hopes" a team would give him 20 plays of 7-on-7 in practice to "let me see if I can still do it."
"I was actually ready to, for this coming season, I actually talked to a coach, and my wife said, 'Go for it, I think it would be great,'" Warner said.
