Mar. 25—DEER LAKE — Perhaps it was fitting that two football players played in the championship round Saturday for the first-ever "Madden" tournament at Fighter's Heaven.
Minersville residents Brock Polinsky, 18, a safety for the Battlin' Miners, and Dominico Yourey, 15, a right guard for the team, competed in "Madden NFL 23" on the PlayStation 5.
The match ended with Polinsky as the victor, claiming the camp's "March Madden" title.
"I'll get you back," Yourey said as his team fell to Polinsky's Green Bay Packers, 17-16.
However, each player congratulated the other on a good game afterwards.
