PETA sends Packers' Jared Cook 'meat-free wings' after chicken head incident

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- After he found a chicken head in his carryout order from a local restaurant last week, Green Bay Packers tight end Jared Cook said his wife strongly encouraged him to become a vegetarian.

More encouragement is apparently on the way.

PETA said it planned to send Cook a care package that includes a "basket of delicious meat-free wings."

"Chickens are sensitive, intelligent animals who have the same ability to feel pain as dogs, cats, and humans, and the one you discovered had likely been dumped into a fryer while still conscious," PETA said in a statement it planned to send to Cook along with the basket.
