New England Patriots wide receiver Tyquan Thorton returned to practice on Tuesday. That likely means he is close to returning from injured reserve.
The second-year wide receiver was placed on IR on August 30. He was hurt during joint practices against the Green Bay Packers over the summer. This was the second season in a row that he started the year on IR.
Thornton recorded 45 catches for 247 yards and two touchdowns last year. He began to play at a high level towards the end of the season. He recorded three catches for 60 yards and a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins on New Year’s Day.
