Panthers could acquire Packers' $84 million injury-prone veteran deemed worth the 'gamble'

The Green Bay Packers find themselves in a tricky situation this offseason with veteran cornerback Jaire Alexander. The two sides have been working toward a restructured contract that would benefit both parties, but progress has stalled—and OTAs begin on Tuesday.

“On the contract front, the Packers could want a revised deal that allows Alexander -- who has missed at least 10 games in three of the last four seasons -- to earn his full salary if he's healthy and available in 2025 but protects the team in case the injuries continue,” Zach Kruse wrote.

Alexander has not been participating in the team’s offseason workouts, but he remains in daily communication with the Packers.
