Packers WR Trevor Davis arrested at LAX for ‘criminal threats’, per report

After making a joke about bombs at Los Angeles International Airport, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Trevor Davis ended up in police custody Sunday, according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky.

According to the report, Davis asked a flight companion whether she “remembered to pack the explosives” during the check-in process at the Hawaiian Airlines ticket counter, resulting in his arrest. Authorities have since released Davis, who has a May 3 court date.

In a statement to ESPN, the Packers said they are aware of the situation involving Davis and have no further comment.
