Packers WR Matthew Golden signs 4-year rookie contract

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The first Packer wide receiver drafted in the first round since 2002 officially put pen to paper on his rookie contract on Monday, the team announced.

Matthew Golden was drafted 23rd overall in last month’s draft in Green Bay, snapping a 23-year drought for the Packers drafting a wide receiver in the first round.

Golden’s 4-year contract is fully guaranteed and is worth over $17 million, including a signing bonus of over $9 million.
