Getting a bounce-back season from third-year receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling might be one of the most important factors for the Green Bay Packers’ passing offense in 2020.
Receiver Davante Adams believes Valdes-Scantling, who faded into obscurity during the second half of his second season, is on the right track as training camp opens.
“Really excited to see how Marquez bounces back from how he did last year,” Adams said last week. “He’s definitely taking the right steps now.”
Adams admitted Valdes-Scantling did some “great things” but also had some moments he’d like to “have back.”
After catching 21 passes for 416 yards and scoring two long touchdowns during the Packers’ first seven games, Valdes-Scantling struggled to overcome an injury and tumbled down the receiver depth chart.
