Packers without Jaire Alexander and Elgton Jenkins to open OTAs

Veteran cornerback Jaire Alexander and veteran offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins are not present or participating during the Green Bay Packers' first organized team activity (OTA) session open to the media on Wednesday, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.

Both players are absent due to contract issues. Alexander and the Packers are attempting to figure out a restructured contract that would keep him in Green Bay for the 2025 season, while Jenkins -- who is moving from left guard to center -- wants a reworked deal to protect him as he makes a position change.
