The Green Bay Packers waived a record-setting Alabama high school running back and added a former South Alabama wide receiver on Tuesday.
In 2019, Jalen White ran for 3,517 rushing yards for Daleville to set the Alabama high school single-season record.
After five seasons at Georgia Southern, White joined the Packers as an undrafted rookie in May.
In Green Bay’s preseason opener on Saturday, White ran for 16 yards on two carries, but he left the 30-10 loss to the New York Jets because of a foot injury. The ailment kept him from practicing on Monday, and the Packers waived White with an injured designation on Tuesday.
