Despite the Green Bay Packers’ running back room and the San Francisco 49ers’ wide receiver group being hit hard by coronavirus-related absences, the two teams will play on schedule tonight in a Thursday Night Football matchup. Neither team received any additional positive COVID test results in the past two days, so the NFL has decided that the game will go on.
This game serves as a rematch of last year’s NFC Championship Game in theory, but in practice the 49ers will have virtually none of the players who were key parts of that game, at least on offense.
