Packers tried to trade for Trey Hendrickson before landing Micah Parsons

The Green Bay Packers were determined to add an impact pass-rusher via the trade market this offseason. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Packers "had their sights set" on a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals for edge rusher Trey Hendrickson before eventually landing Micah Parsons in the biggest trade of the offseason.

Per Rapoport, the Packers were among the teams who "engaged the most" with the Bengals on a trade involving Hendrickson, and Cincinnati -- like Dallas -- wanted Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark in the deal. However, the Packers were not as willing to include Clark in a potential deal for Hendrickson, and the Bengals were reluctant to trade Hendrickson in the first place.
