Packers surprised Jordan Love with big decisions

Jordan Love is entering a big season with the Green Bay Packers. It'll be his fifth NFL campaign, and his third as a full-time starter.

This is the time for Love to take a leap, and for the Packers to do it with him. And to make that happen, Green Bay took an approach they haven't in a long time, and it surprised Love.

Pleasantly surprised, to be clear.

The Packers drafted a wide receiver in the first round for the first time since 2002 (meaning they never did it for Aaron Rodgers).

That pick was Matthew Golden, and then they came back with Savion Williams, another wideout, in round three.
