The Green Bay Packers are signing veteran linebacker Nick Niemann to their 53-man roster, according to Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated.
A 2021 sixth-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Chargers, Niemann has totaled 86 tackles, three pass deflections, one interception, and one fumble recovery in 64 games, making three starts. After his rookie contract ended with Los Angeles, Niemann signed a two-year deal with the Houston Texans, but was released during final cutdowns.
Niemann had a significant role on the Chargers' special teams over the past four seasons and will likely do the same in Green Bay.
