With two roster spots open after the release of running back Darrin Hall and safety Josh Jones, GM Brian Gutekunst wasted little time filling those slots. Signed to the roster were Linebacker James Floston Jr. and Cornerback Jocquez Kilili.
Folston, a 6'3" 240 lb linebacker, was motly a reserve defensive end at the University of Pittsburgh. Folston was signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an Undrafted Free Agent before being released and also spent some time with the Tennessee Titans. Folston is the son of James Folston, who spent eight years in the NFL, also as a linebacker.
