Cornerback Nate Hobbs won't be the only starter in the Green Bay Packers secondary to miss time during the rest of training camp and the preseason. Safety Xavier McKinney, who missed Thursday's practice with a calf injury, is expecting to miss the preseason because of the injury, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.
Like Hobbs, who needed a surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus in his knee, McKinney is confident he'll be ready to go when the Packers take on the Detroit Lions in the season opener on Sunday, Sept. 7.
While the exact injury to McKinney wasn't disclosed, a low-level calf strain can take 2-3 weeks to heal.
