Packers reveal plan to turn wide receiver into a two-way player

The Green Bay Packers' surprise minicamp plan received some new clarity on Wednesday.

Wide receiver Bo Melton was spotted earlier in the week taking reps at cornerback. But Melton isn't switching to CB.

Rather, the Packers are seeing if Melton can be a two-way player, which would allow them to use one roster spot on essentially two different guys.

“It’s just something that came up,” Melton told Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. “I want to give it a shot. I’m still a wide receiver, so I’m not really transitioning to no cornerback, but if it works, it works.
